An old-fashioned steamed pudding with honey.
After finding a pudding basin when shopping with a friend, I had to try out this recipe. It is very similar to the Syrup Steamed Pudding (p. 166 in “Home Cooking”) and went down nearly as well. Personally, I liked the caramell flavour of the golden syrup better and thought the golden syrup pudding was lighter and more fluffy.
I think the sugar can be reduced to 60g. Drizzle some honey onto the cake when serving.
Gluten-Free: I used 115g self-raising gluten-free flour, giving a good result.
