A good and very quick recipe for Irish Soda Bread. This bread is best when still slightly warm, served with a hearty soup or stew.
I personally prefer bread made with yeast or sour dough- not one of my favourites…
Gluten-Free: I experimented with using some teff flour alongside a brown bread flour mix (from Doves Farm) and a white flour mix (mainly rice flour and potato flour). The result was an aromatic bread with a very authentic taste-very similar to the soda bread I tried on a visit to Ireland.
