A flavoured milk, used as the basis for other sauces, such as the Mornay Sauce (p. 147 in Linda’s book “Home Cooking”).
This sauce has a lovely and light flavour given by the spices used. As it contains no flour or starch, it is runny as milk.
Vegan: Use plant-based milk.
